Activity based Lifestyle: My Projects on Health and Health Professions

So here guys is the start of something I've always wanted to do but never managed to do: to learn and write about health as part of active lifestyle. The reason I want to do this is selfish - I work in the medical field and everyday I try to understand the mechanics by which the body responds to exercise, proper diet and relaxation. Obviously this is something that probably played up in your mind one way or another - you could be very active now and if not, I'm sure there was a time in your life when you too were immersed in very active lifestyle. You could have been a star athlete in your younger days, you could be actively pursuing an athletic career right now, you could be contemplating sporty/athletic lifestyle someday. You could be obese right now and still remember the days when you were thin and sexy and popular. You could be so stressed out now and are longing for those days when life was smooth and mellow and carefree.

I know this because I'm one of you guys. Though I work in health care I too had bouts with laziness, inactivity/sedentary lifestyle and as my friends would attest, I can be stressed out and in fact, I currently work nearly everyday still. I was a yoyo active person. One week I would be gung-ho about exercising, the next week I don't even want to think about it. There are certainly more important things in life than hitting the gym or the road or the court. There is the after-work fatigue, the mounting responsibilities and errands and commitments to fulfill, there are hopeless assignments that are screaming to be finished and worse, sometimes you just want to hit the bed because life is just too 'exhausting'. Now, I am not intending to give you promises here, to tell you the truth, this website is really meant for me. I'd like to read the latest trends in health and well-being management. I'd like to know the latest trends in what's hot or not in foods and nutrition. I'm very much into running and swimming and I'd like to know the pros and cons of these activities.I'd like to understand, for example the pathologies , causes, effects, prevention of common ailments attacking humanity - diabetes, hypertension, strokes, heart attacks, etc. I'd like to see if exercise is indeed beneficial in reducing the risk of developing these ailments. Health and Active Lifestyle are two very important topics close to my heart. So hold on tight and I'd try to come up with things I learn through news, books, internet, and together, we would learn about our well-being.
